Check on the property tax you and your neighbors are paying the city and county. You can search by name or address. Your house insurance is pegged to the appraised value of your house. Make sure your house is not overvalued. A great resource for the average West Hills Homeowner.

Knox County has one of the best sites going. There is really too much and may be confusing to the older population. Make sure you get familiar with their site.
KUB Knoxville Utility Board
Your light, gas and water connection. Be aware that there is an outage map you can pull up if you still have electricity. This summer will be a real scorcher. You may want to use their water calculator.
Knox County Schools
In Knoxville the schools are run by Knox County. We are very proud of our Schools and this year 12 additional Knox County elementary schools have received SACS accreditation. It is easier than ever now to keep up with events in Knox County Schools. KCS calendars online now offer e-mail subscriptions for automatic notification of changes or additions to your favorite calendar(s), RSS feeds are available.

Knox County Public Library
In an age of Google and high speed bandwith on your computer a Library shouldn’t stand a chance of survival, but the Knox County Library is coping very well, Thank You! They have a great KIDS LIBRARY. They are into heavy geneaology and local history. Of course they are information science specialists and they would be my first phone call if I couldn’t find something on the web. Great resource; great people ! MOMS and traveling salemen,be aware they also have great downloadable audio books. Great if you want to put something useful in an IPOD etc.
